I had it built to fit a loadout gobox under there and still be able to put a stowed stripping basket, flip flops, tackle box or whatever under the shelf. I keep a soft cooler next to it for beers and stuff. If I need a cooler for a sandbar day or something, I remove the chair and have tie downs for a yeti 45/65.
Yetis are not that great an option anymore. They are too heavy and bulky. They actually really suck for casting platforms unless strapped down. The inboard feet make ‘em really tippy. I still use one for my third person seat. But not just for cooler duty only. The soft coolers are the way to go IMO

I did my set up similar to Ron. 70" beam for me. Yeti 65 strapped down, with tempress attached to the top with their quick disconnect system. I've been really happy with it, asked tons of different sized clients and they all think it's comfortable.
I was worried about the boat balance when 1 angler is sitting and 1 fishing, but I found if you turn the engine to one side, everything balances pretty much perfectly....now if im fishing just 1 angler, yeti chair and soft cooler
under it fits perfectly in the same spot with the straps.
