I would start by saying both series of rods are excellent. I currently have an 8 and 10 (4 piece) in the Meridian and 8, 10 (8’4), 11 (2 piece) and 12 in the Sector. So with my experience, the 4 piece rod Sector give a sensation of a softer tip compared to the Meridian, but faster recovery. If I were to guess, the Sector blank may have a steeper taper. I think both series cast best with true to weight lines, but you can have some room to play with it. Now, the 8’4 10 weight seemed much more line sensitive. I went through 5 plus lines until landing on the 10 weight SA grand slam. The heavy, more aggressive line taper seemed to make the rod come alive. Lastly, the 2 piece 11 almost seems like a different beast all together. It feels like you blended the Meridian with an R8. I personally really like it, but would advise casting it first before deciding between that and the 4 piece rod. Hope this helps!
