I'm happy with my 60R, has tons of torque and you can run bigger props.
Rob - what’s the top end you are getting with the 60R and the Pro tunnel?

I have a 50hp Tohatsu short shaft on my Whipray with a Jack Foreman prop and stiffy compression plate. I get in good conditions 31 knots (34 mph). I think with a 60hp that could scoot to 40 mph.

That Foreman is not a speed prop by any means. I don’t think you’d see 40 with one on any outboard and hull combination with that XXXcup but I’ve been wrong before.
Honestly, I was surprised to hit 34 mph with it and agree with you. That is why I wonder what a 60 would do.

Weren’t you having porpoising issues ? Get that resolved ?
Still tuning it - I got it dailed in with the tabs now, but also was running with very little fuel (trying to go light). I am moving the battery to the bow and see how that does. I could also wedge it, but am holding off going that route.
