I have owned a Hobie power skiff and last year got my hands on a Hobie Power 18. Definitely a bit larger, spent the past few months taking it completely apart to build it back up. I would love to know if anyone else on here has this boat, it’s really hard to find information out there!
Here is a video before I started taking her apart:

49 gallon in hull tank! It was not connected, I cleaned the inside of it (it was pretty much spotless, in great shape)
How did you clean the tank? Were you able to get all the gunk out?

Honestly the fuel tank was already pretty clean, I put 2 cans of sea foam in there and some acetone, let it sit over night then poured it all out, then I let it dry in the sun and it was all shiny new looking, I was definitely lucky it was in such good shape. It was a pretty easy job, while doing the tear down I was afraid the tank was going to be in bad shape and possibly need replacement, but I got lucky and it was in excellent shape!
