Anyone fish the Yellowfin 17 or have any feedback on its performance? Looking at a 17' with a 115 Yamaha. Would like to know about performance, ride quality, etc. Thanks for your help!

IMO, it's to wide to ever ride good.. it would be a great platform to fish once you got it there, nice and stable.. I would look for something with the foot print of your top tier Skiffs.. Dolphin SS, HPX, Biscayne or the EVO..

I think they ride good and float pretty skinny too. Been on one a couple of times with a 90 and was pretty happy with the ride, speed, and how dry skiff was.

I had one and have been in a bunch of them....I would look elsewhere. I think a 115hp is too much for that skiff too weight wise... Not up to par with there offshore stuff. There a wet boat and have a lot of hull slap. Spray rails were an afterthought slapped on the hull not built in. This is just my honest opinion. I say test any boat on the water in nasty conditions before purchasing and the decide. Just my .02
