Looking for a Hydrofoil for a 6 merc. Somthing like the stingray jr. or comparable. Looking to spend 20-30 bucks.

I had this origianally on my merc 25 and it did a great job of getting on plane and it is not too expensive.  Only thing is, drilling is required.  I assume you wont be buying the stingray jr. and I dont recommend it either cause it SUCKS!  Way too expensive!   good luck.

oops...I guess I forgot to add the link, sorry.  http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SearchResults?searchOption=products&hvarSearchString=hydrofoil&storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&CMID=TOP_SEARCH_GO

You could go with the old "doel fins".
If they are $30 here, then they got to be really cheap at wally world:

I've ruled out the stingray Jr. due to all of the bad reports its recieved from this site. I think I'll just go with the Doel Fin. Sounds like it should do everything I need it to!!

Ordered the new Hydroil yesterday from BPS. ;D I decided to go with the Doel-Fin. It was $39 shipped. I hope that it does the trick! Thanks for all the info everyone! If its not shitty, I'm finally go fishing tonight! :D

    That Doel-Fin should work perfect.

Capt Ron runs those bob's plates. I have one on my 9.9 merc but I still haven't ran it. :(

I ran a Doel-Fin on a 9.9 Merc 2stk. for years and was very happy
    with it on my Hi-Sider.
I have a custom cut down Bob's Tru Tracker stabilizier on my new
Yammie 25 on my LT 25....I don't think the bob's has as much lift as
the Doel-Fin but I had clearence issues with my Power Pole and not
looking fot lift on the LT, just trying to keep water at the prop.
I think the DF gives the most bang for the buck!

I put a SE Sport 200 on my highsider with a 9.9 4strk and it works very well. It is narrower than a doelfin and I don't "think" it has as much drag. The boat planes out great and stays on plane at slower speeds. Cost is about $60.00.
