I know everyone in Florida is looking for one but I might as well throw it out there and see what bites. WTB HB Pro 17.8 with center console. I'll drive anywhere in Florida and dont have a price range but do have money to spend. And yes I've seen the one recently posted here for sale in Naples by 239Tiger.

    Thanks

Why the switch from 18 HPX? Need to get skinnier?

Ya fishin Flamingo a lot, poling a bunch, and burning more gas than I would like to. Just wanted to go to something lighter on the pole, better hole shot, and a bit skinnier. Also thinking about going to a new Beavertail Strike. Anyone have any input on the Strike vs. an older HB 17.8? Like most middle class Americans I can't afford a new HB 17.8.

Do yourself a favor and go test drive a Strike. I'm sure there are a few in your area. The HB 17.8 is a wonderful boat and the BT will match it in every category, except price.

Well BT definitely has a following and there must be a reason for that. Anyone know what type of material they use on their hulls? How does the BT strike compare in weight to the old HB 17.8?
