I have a couple mid-80's Johnson outboards that need a little work that I'd like to learn how to do myself. I live in palm beach county and would like to find a place that stocks some of the parts/ supplies I'd need, and has knowledgeable people there. Willling to travel a little north or south for a good shop. Prefer independents. Suggestions?

I kept a boat stored at Palm Beach Yacht Center on US1 Hypoluxo. The service manager there once taught OMC engines at the Junior College. I found him to be the best I have ever known. His name is Barry Spinwebber and he is an OMC master mechanic. The parts department there is good as well.

    Best regards,
