Went out tonight to practice what I have learned. I am not 100% happy with the final product but I feel that I have came a long way.

As said, the fountain pic is really cool!! Dont know if you were looking for advice also but I will give my .02
On the pic with the small columns, 4th one down, your lighting is really good, and I really like the cropping angle that you have chossen. something to keep in mind for next time though is to take one step backwards, if possible. This way you dont cut the top left corner of the object out of the picture. this can be applied to any picture. Before you take it make sure nothing is "falling" or "flying" out of the picture.

Thanks for everyone's responses...this is something that I can really get into. Courtney is also into "art". She paints...I feel that this is something that we can do together...I photograph while she can paint the photo...It is the least I can do since I she enjoys fishing with me.
As far as the cropping...Freat advice...I had no intentions with cropping the photo when I took it but after seeing need to be cropped to get the effect I was looking for....For next time, I will def keep that I the back of my mind when taking a photo. Thanks!
