Who Would Buy a Removable Lean Bar or Tarpon Cage for there YETI?

Been thinking about getting a 35qt yeti and making a removable tarpon cage or lean bar for it. Who would be interested in one. It would have to through bolt from the top. We could either do a mounting plate or threaded feet. Just a thought feel like quite a few people use a 35qt as a casting platform but theres nothing out there right now to help make it rough water friendly. Not a whole lot of standing room up top. But you're not dancing up there.

I’m surprised that yeti doesn’t make an umbrella yet. How convenient it would be to have a durable umbrella that’s built to last that you could easily put in the an attachment for the cooler I.E. a rod holder. It would be a life saver on the skiff. I know we all make shift something out of beach umbrellas. But only for so long will plastic hold up. I would buy one instantly

They most likely havent done it because of liability. If you think about it, someone leaning on a roll cage might cause the cooler to tip if its not secured, and that may be what they are concerned about, just my guess.

Not speaking about them manufacturing it. Talking about if there is a need/want for the product.
I'm not sure you could ever secure a yeti well enough for an adult to lean heavy against it.

FWIW- I've found the 45qt Yeti to be the best size to double as a casting platform. It may be personal preference but the dimensions of the base, height, and top seem to fit the best.

I think the 65 is too big for most skiff decks and the 35 is not quite big enough to

Just my personal opinion though.

They use to have a 50 that was same as 35 as far as dimensions but was way taller.
Not me. Especially since you’re drilling through the lid and putting all that weight on the latches and hinges if someone were to really lean on it. Also opening and closing it would be a pain with the weight of the bar on top.
The mount could go through the slots that the rod holder and drink holder fit into.
Make it go around the back and have support to prevent tipping.
Delete the straps and use a turnbuckle or cam lock to secure it to the dog bones.
I have that Kennedy setup on my skiff right now. It will not hold the weight of someone leaning against it, but does ok to hold the cooler from sliding.

they still make the 50 it is the same size as 45 but about 2-3” taller. Also if you put two turn buckles and attach to the Yeti lock holders it is rock solid.
