I recently repowered my 04 whipray (tiller) with a Tohatsu 20hp 15in with electric start and power t/t. Had a 25 merc 2 stroke previously performance is pretty much the same honestly.

Stock prop is 9.25 diameter 10 pitch on the tohatsu

15.2 mph @ 4400 rpm

23.0 mph @ 5500 rpm

24.8 mph @ 5900 rpm

time to plane with tabs is just under 4 seconds

Standard fishing load 2 people and a cooler.

After getting a few more hours on it, Im looking for a little more hold in mid range rpms with the motor trimmed up. Im happy with the top end over all and honestly if I loose a couple MPH Im fine if I have more hold.

So looking for prop suggestions and also maybe I should add a wing on the motor ?

Stainless prop with some heavy cupping should get you there. May need to drop a pitch to gain full benefits of cupping.
