Following are photos from the Spring of 2018, prior to restoration. This Whipray floats extremely shallow — and level with the Merc 25. Our initial aims of restoration were: 1) add JP or power tilt for shallow running in TX, 2) change slow Bennett trim tabs, 3) remove trolling motor plate, bow cleat, bulk head bungee holes, 4) repair gel coat. Once we got started, we decided to go for the full restoration. Will describe our decisions on the restoration in an upcoming post.

Grateful for the opportunity to offer Whipray #7 to the MS community. We’ve had some inquiries, but she’s still available.

Hope to post videos if that’s technically possible. Also will send more details on the decision process of the rebuild.

Best to all,

When you have a tiller extension that length (a little past the bench seat) and no grab bar, is the idea basically that you run sitting down most of the time - but yet its a long enough extension to where you have the option to stand up for brief periods?

Yes. That’s the way I ran it. I could stand up when it wasn’t rough. Also sat on the platform sometimes. We didn’t use the original cushion much

On the fence... Our plans are very fluid ... one week I’m thinking we can use the Whipray, the next one I’m happy to sell her. Hence, not interested to drop the price... but would sell if we could find a good home...

Grateful to the MS community for this opportunity.

I fished this Whip when Snookdaddy owned it one warm winter day. We were poling where small snook were swimming with their dorsal fins out of the water, and hooked a couple. Great little Whip. If I didn’t have one in my garage I’d buy it. 🇺🇲

$35k. Will consider reasonable offers. A collectible you can fish; a fun inflation hedge!
