Hey all, nearing the completion of my small restoration on my hpx17v.
one of the last things I need to take care of are these ubdergunnels. The issue being when I used the stripper to remove the old carpet glue. It’s pulled up a bunch of the Kevlar that appears as it was undersaturated with resin when manufactured. It now has a bunch of fuzzys and pieces of frayed Kevlar sticking up. How would you remedy this?
My thought is to lay down some additional resin, then fair it out, then lay gelcoat? Or would you lay an additional layer of glass? Ideally want to put seadek in here but not opposed to carpet if I could find Maverick replacements.
Here are some pics and TIA for any thoughts!
