Summertime is hot and the sun is in full effect. Being "follicle'ly" challenged I am always looking for a better hat. I have a closet full of regular baseball hats. A small selection of soft brim booney hats.

What is your favorite hat and why?

Columbia Sportswear with adjustable headband and chin strap.
Spring loaded adjustment clips stay where you set them.
Fits comfortably and snugly around your head, stays put when running to the next spot.
Black underbrim to eliminate glare. I prefer the khaki version to hide the dirt and stains.
To wash I half-fill a tupperware container with warm water and a dab of dish soap.
Shake well, let soak, shake again, rinse well, air dry.
btw, I recommend a bandana be worn between your head and your hat.

Soft brim doesn't bump my scope either... ;)

Dave I have glued a boot with a similar flaw with "Shoe Goo" I have also used it to glue other things together. Back when I played tennis almost daily I used a tube every two weeks trying to get extra mileage out of my shoes.

Dave, that's 'cause I only buy the hats. My feet prefer no shoes or flip flops.
The one pair of "real" shoes I own is for dining out and social necessities.
Not surprising, after 6 years, they still look like new.

(my steel toe work boots don't count as shoes, they're safety equipment)   ;)

Frog Togg cooling hat. Get it wet and it helps to keep you cool and is about $10.

Tried that hat for kayaking. Epic fail. Fabric didn't stand up to saltwater and kinda started to disintegrate. I have an OR hat which has been through thick and thin. Can't remember the model though..... ;D

    This is my favorite hat.
I was always a visor guy until I bought this hat.
Since it's a trucker hat, the mesh in the back, it still allows for air to get through.

Another reason is I always seem to do better when I wear this hat in particular over any of my other hats.
