It's raining, it's windy and the Marlins are loosing, again. So what better time to listen to the sound of the rain and start wrapping another custom rod.

It is a 6' 6" St. Croix SCIV Medium Heavy 10-20lb 1/2 - 1-1/2oz blank that will be built as a bait-caster/conventional style with a split rear grip and spiral wrapped guides.  Hopefully it will get finished up this weekend, if I can figure the grips.

Good stuff. I take it you are a fan of Threadmaster products.

I gotta learn how to do some of that fancy weaving.

Thanks for the kind words. Guides and wrapping left to do!

Brew: I read good stuff about Threadmaster, built my first rod with the Lite version and it works well for me so I haven't tried anything else.

Cool. Started out with U40 LS supreme but didn't like how it leveled on long wraps. Been using Classic Super Coat. Levels awesome but it is super light and takes at least 3 coats. Got some samples of the new stuff Mudhole is putting out. Hopefully get to try it soon since I am working on a rod for the Brandon Tournament for Curtis to auction off.

Could Listen to some of this in the background :)

So, so you think you can tell
    Heaven from hell?
    Blue skies from pain?
Can you tell a green field
    From a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you trade
    Your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cold breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
    And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl
    Year after year
Running over the same old ground
    What have we found?
    The same old fears
    Wish you were here
