What do i need to know to upgrade my 5.30 x 12 tires to a larger size. I don't need the larger tire for higher load capacity  I just don't like the looks or the speed restriction with the 12's. There is enough room under the fenders to go up to 15's but I don't know if I have to change the hubs.

u will have to change rims.

measure the bolt pattern on the new rims v. the hubs

Pretty sure the 8/10/12 inch rims are a 4 stud pattern.
13/14/15 inch rims are a 5 stud pattern.
Replacing the hubs would cost about 30 bucks per hub

I just got 10" rims with 5 bolt pattern. Tires are E load rated. Same height as the 4.80 x 12 rim and tire but much wider like pontoon trailer tire.

I have a new Rolls Aluminum Trailer with 5:30 x 12 tires, asked the builder if I can upgrade the tire diameter. He said the 13" tire is an option that will clear fenders w/o modifing the fenders. ;)
