Don't try to adapt it, since neither is a great answer. I would cut off both ends and get a new plug kit.

Is there an option where I can cut the trolling motor side and keep the boat side clean? Since it's new, I'd prefer to do that if possible, just don't know what I need.

If the first picture (with the batteries) is in your boat. Than I believe you need this..

But I agree with Firecat, get rid of all that and go with either a Power Winch plug (best one I have had) or the Battery Tender. (heard good things)

They made dozens of generic plugs, all slightly different. You need to find out which one it is. If it says the company name on the side then you can find the other end, but the best bet is to buy a much better quality setup. Plus it looks like you have 2 Male sides, so something is a miss in my book already.

Second firecat and tailchaser. I just bought a used TM and rigged everything up myself. Cut off the old one and bought a Battery Tender plug kit. Mounted nice and flush on the bulkhead (forget its even there) and the locking mechanism when it plugs in is freaking money. Definitely worth the extra $$$ imo.

Just installed a new TM on my skiff (it was 20 years I did without one), and did it full bore (24v Terrova, PowerMania on board charger, 60 amp breaker, Battery Tender plug, etc.). I'd recommend the Battery Tender plug as well - even if it is $82...
