Should paint a good return there. My only qualm would be dragging the transducer across the bottom. There are times when my tabs are snug up against the sand (BT Mosquito). Mine is mounted on the starboard sponson, next to the Power Pole mount. No problems with it so far.

I have my transducer between the starboard tab and the sponson pocket. It sits flush to the bottom of the hull and kicks up a bit when I drag my ass across the bottom. I would not want it on the tab because I could see it ripping off if I get too skinny.

Not many external choices from the looks of it. I would consider a shoot-thru.

Shoot thru hull xducers have come a long way. I’d look into one if I really wanted a transducer because I’ll rip them off if they hang below the hull.
