I just purchased an older Ramilin galvanized trailer. The trailer for the most part is in great shape. There is a little rust on the fenders where the carpeted board is mounted and where the rear bunk supports are welded to the frame. My plan is to clean up the rust with a flapper wheel and wire brush and then paint over the cleanup metal with some form of zinc paint. Are there other products out there that I shoud consider? Ideally I'd only like to do this every few years and not make it something I'm repaintinig on a regualar basis. Thanks.

Once a galvanized trailer starts rusting it’s almost impossible to get it to stop coming back unless it’s professionally prepped and galvanized. I’ve been there and done that with Ospho and galvanized spray paint. It just comes back.
