I am thinking about mounting on my gunnell for GPS and rod holders. Just wonder how they hold up. I probably would use the rod holders for anything and bigger than freshwater hybrids and stripers. My gunnells are only 2 1/2 inches wide so I am kinda limited. If you have a better idea for a way to mount rod holders so they are removable with minimum holes drilled in my boat

I had a similar track on a kayak with rod holders and a fish finder/transducer bracket. It worked great for a 'yak, but I would be skeptical of using it for rod holders on a boat. They would be OK for GPS and panfish or crappie, but I wouldn't trust them for stripers or larger fish.
