I'm used to the Canadian invasion that takes place each winter.
All the Ontario license tags on vehicles heading up and down I-95,
but not used to seeing a Canadian in the summer, not here in Florida.
Especially not during the humid, hot, buggy afternoon.
But there she was, soaking up the afternoon rays all by herself.

Didn't know they spent the summer too.

There is a growing population of resident Canadians in the Jacksonville area. There is already a rather large community over in the panhandle.

About six years ago I was hunting on the chain of lakes area and snapped a picture of about 30-35 snows.

Once they acclimate to golf courses, the heat doesn't bother them. Resident Canadians keep expanding their range and they are very hard to hunt.

I snapped this photo this morning at a pond in Volusia county Fl. I counted a total of 20. If I had a better camera with me, I could of taken some very cool pics.
