My last boat had 6 batteries. So, when I get a new skiff and see this one little AGM battery, I am very pleased.

My question: I am adding a TM, and I assume I will need an independent battery to safely run the TM. Will another one of these AGM style batteries work? Or do I need to go with something else.

MK 55 RT if that helps

    Thanks

What kind of Boat/motor? I only run one battery in my skiff. It powers my 20hp electric start yamaha, 45lbs thrust TM, 2 500 gph livewell pumps, a bilge pump, and LED lights. I run a standard group 29 deep cycle which is fairly big, but I have yet to run so low I couldn't start the motor.

That being said I might run 2 batteries in my next skiff because I will have a larger motor. What size and capacity is the AGM battery you are looking at? If the trolling motor has the digital maximizer you can get away with a smaller deep cycle battery.
