Shallow Sport makes a good boat. The hull design is a little dated, and most of the Texas builders have moved to cat hulls, but there's not much that will run shallower than a Shallow Sport...Just don't make any hard turns. You have to drive them like a dirt track car. One of my best friends just sold his 18 Sport and is buying an East Cape Vantage.
Edited to add that I'm interested to see how they do with the SCB molds. I guess the first SS built SCBs are just now being finished up.

Oh man, then you missed out on lots of forum drama. Apparently, Eric's dad was the "owner" of SCB and sold the company to Shallow Sport without Eric's knowledge or consent. The Sheriff's department showed up to Kemah and hustled everyone outside while the Shallow Sport folks loaded up all the molds and equipment and drove off with it.
17 years and counting. (13 or so by me) I keep it in the barn at my in-laws ranch in the Hill Country. I compounded it and waxed it last time I was up there.
