How come everytime I go to the site and I'm not on my wifi, I get a million redirects for sponsors and pop ups? I'm using a iphone and all the web block software I've found only allows it to work while on a wifi network and not during cellular coverage. Really starting to piss me off

Never have a issue on a PC, laptop or my phone when I'm connected to wifi. It only happens when I'm using my cellular signal. It keeps redirecting to the App Store. As far as I know, they don't have any apps that block this unless your on wifi. Tech minds feel free to comment..

I'm on my droid phone now on the cell (4g lte) because our internet\wifi is down again... Friggin Comcast.... Anyway, using chrome with no issues. I'm not running adblock on the phone. I'm kind of leery of it. Anyone use it on their phones?

smartphone apps are specifically coded to display ads.
Games, maps, utilities all are profit driven, so by including ad links in the apps
each time an ad is displayed, the app provider makes money.
smartphone forums have covered this irritation and have a work around.
Yes, the ads are specific to cellular data packets, not the wifi data stream.

As a child of the analog age, I use a cheap pre-paid phone.
All the options are turned off. No texting, no interweb, no apps.
Phone cost 20 bucks, 10 cents a minute for local-long distance,
I average about 11 to 12 bucks a month in calls.
It pays to be laconic, eh? :-? ;)

Haha, I'm a child of the analog age as well. I like my electronics, but then I built a boat out of wood in an ancient design ..... Go figure ::)

I have Sprint service. Pretty frustrating to say the least. I use to view the forum on my company laptop but our IT guy cut me off due to malware stemming from this site he claims. In the corporate world, I just can't add these magic programs like adware or similar..
