I've got an 18V90. It came with the casting deck mounted in the back. It has its usefullness but it makes accessing space under it a pain. So I took it out. Trying to figure out if I could modify it and put it back so that I could swing it open/closed kinda like a huge decklid. It is very heavy.

Its surprising how removing it makes the boat seem larger.
There are some shops in the Austin area that do this kinda thing. Can anyone share experiences?

I’ve used McNeill Marine in Volente for fiberglass repairs. Glass work was excellent and the color match on the gel coat was spot on. I discussed some mods, etc. to my boat and he was all ears. I think he’ll come up with a workable solution for you.

tks for that feedback fishtex. I had been going out to Sandy Creek a lot until covid & Travis county blocked off that park so I assume its close to him. For now I'm just going to leave it off. I spoke to one of my fishing buddies and he agreed that it would be better for him that way.
