Angels of the Seas Awards Ceremony
On Feb. 19 at the Miami Boat Show's Big Game Room. Artist Guy Harvey presented framed prints and certificates to three recipients in honor of their environmental conservation efforts in 2010. 

Star brite SeaSafe® Products Honored
Star Brite was honored in the category of "Corporate Conservation". Recognition was given for the Sea-Safe® line of eco-friendly boat cleaning products.  Star brite is the first and only manufacturer in the industry to use biodegradable bottle technology that helps accelerate the decomposition of plastics in landfills.


Project SeaSafe® is Star brite’s environmental initiative funded by SeaSafe® product sales. Project SeaSafe® is a major supporter of the not-for-profit Sea Turtle Oversight Protection hatchling rescue program as well as other programs such as Project Snook.
Star brite's CEO Peter Dornau stated:
"In a year of environmental catastrophes, we need now more than ever to set a positive example. Being good stewards of the sea is a core principal that Star brite has championed for nearly 30 years."
Sea Turtle Hatchling Rescue Innitiative
Star brite assisted Broward County Florida's Sea Turtle Oversight Protection to coordinate the rescue of a record breaking 8,850 sea turtle hatchlings in 2010. Star brite produced a 3 minute "thank you" video which was presented at the awards ceremony by Star brite's Director of Communications Justin Gould. Justin also serves as Vice President on the board of Sea Turtle Oversight Protection.

Star brite's Justin Gould also presented gift buckets loaded with SeaSafe® eco-friendly boat care products to the members of the South Florida chapter of Ladies Let's Go Fishing! who contributed many sleepless nights on the beach rescuing sea turtle hatchlings.

Managed by MetroMedia Marketing, Inc., the public relations and events firm that also operates the award-winning "Ladies, Let's Go Fishing!" seminar series, Angels of the Seas initialized the honors program to stimulate marine conservation projects. The group partnered with the non-profit Dubai-based Save Our Seas Foundation and Guy Harvey, Inc. and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation .
Project Manager Betty Bauman comments," We started this program to encourage our 6,000 seminar graduates to organize conservation projects. As every effort makes a difference, we extended it to the public and other organizations."
