I have a dolphin renegade with a squeaky front deck. It is starting to drive me nuts.  Its fine as long as you are on the casting platform but if you step down Creeaak!!!!

What can I do to fix this, is it as simple as adding some layers of glass to the underside of the deck?  I am pretty sure it is not coming from the hatch.  I think it is coming from the actual deck flexing against the hatch.  If I reinforce the deck should I add some sort of framing and glass over it.  If so then how many layers of fiberglass?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try to positively identify the squeak. Prop open the hatch and step down and see what happens.

Maybe the hatch rubbing on the inside lip of the hatch? Rubber gasket- sprinkle with talc/baby powder.

Reinforcing from the underside through a hatch opening is not a job fun.

Try to positively find the area and then let us know.

Noooooooooo, that's one of my favorite skiffs! You have ruined my perception of their near HB level construction!
