    Opening day was great! Already one in the bag :D

    1 1/4" spurs

    A lil over 9" beard


    My dad assisted in calling the bird. It was awesome to share this moment with him.

    congrats on an excellent bird. :cool: You must of did some great scouting too. ;)

    It was opening weekend in my area too, but I went fishing instead. :-?

    Nice bird! Our (Ga) season starts on 3/22 and I'm anxious to get out there.

    Saw one just about like that this morning strutting his stuff with 2 hens. Too bad he was on the shoulder of the road and way too many witness driving by.

    I see three monsters ( each with 10"+ beards) everyday at work. They're at the same spot with about 40 hens and about 6 jakes. I can drive my cart right up to them and they don't worry one bit. They're lucky they are on the St. John's management area (the part you can't hunt :mad: ).

    One of these days I'm gonna have to do a photo shoot with them and maybe a piece of corn on a hook..... ;D
