Rooftop tents look so frickin’ cool! Having to pack up every time you want to drive somewhere is a deal breaker, though.

That and you have to climb down after drinking all day to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. I can barely make it out of a tent.

A Gatorade bottle will take care of that. Awesome pictures love the 4 runner.

I got a RTT for my truck as that is exactly what I wanted to do. Unfortunately there are little to no spots in south Florida where it's possible. You have to pay for a spot in some park on a lot with 50 other campers/RV's and it's just not the same. Probably gonna sell it soon.

Who makes the tent?

This looks so cool , but I agree FL doesn’t seems like it’s super friendly to these things

I have a KampRite cot tent and have seen them set up this way as a budget RTT

Come on guys, for decades I’ve been using one of those old school … ‘wide mouth’ … Nalgene one liter lexan water bottles. Clearly labeled ‘urine’ in large capitol letters with a permanent marker. Standard tent camping gear. No need to leave the tent, lil hard on the knees tho …
