A lot of time has been invested in detailing this boat. She’s not perfect, but is pretty darn sharp. The spray ceramic on top of the CQuartz really makes the water bead!

I get asked a lot how I keep my things so pretty. LOL I take a lot of pride in the things I've earned and own. I posted this in my Heron 16 FS thread.

If you're interested in detailing but don't want to spend a fortune, buy yourself a Harbor Freight dual action polisher and a HBF rotary polisher. Replace the backing plates with a Lake Country or something else nicer. Use nice pads. They work great for the price. I use my HBF polishers all the time and have never had any issues. I also have two Rupes polishers that are four times the cost of the HBF.

The biggest thing is being able to prep the gelocat and the paint. Get your surface clean of any residues or defects by washing with Dawn and using a clay bar. From there, try a simple hand wax and see how it turns out. If the end result is not what you're looking for, continue with the steps below. Youtube is a great resource.

This is the larger bottle of the HC 400. I've used this on cars, trucks, and boats.

This is my go to for marine applications on the hull, etc. Apply with a chip brush and use a rotary polisher with a wool pad.

Easy way to ceramic coat. make sure the paint/gelcoat has been corrected before applying.

Another simple spray wax/si02 coating

Another cermic spray

I spray this on a microfiber towel and apply after every outing.

This is a badass sealant.

I've been through a handful of harbor freight wheels.. for the price they can't be beat. I now have a flex for gel and a rupes for clear. The collonite insulator wax is an oldie but extremely tough to beat too. Jescar plus two coats of 845 has been my go to for years.

Keep it up! It's a sickness.. but love it!

I have the 3” Rupes and the 21 Big Foot as well. Surprisingly, I still use the HF a lot. I’ve never tried the Flex.
