150 lbs and that's a great price for excellent condition motor.

Very rare motor for it's condition, once this sold then you will never find like this one again.

Somewhere I read a published weight of 145lbs.

Quicker reply if you respond to the e-mail address above. I'm funding another project so the motor is listed in several places. ;)

    Re: 40 HP Yamaha

Can someone give me a little history into tht older Yamahas like this one. I have a Whipray with a 40 Merc. It is running well now, but has given me some problems in the past. The size of the old 40 Yahama is what I desire. The 40 tohatsu with 15" shaft seems to be my only option regarding new engines.
Will I be looking for trouble in regards to an old Yamaha?
    Thanks for your input.

    Bump.

I have new power ordered for this boat and will be going to a 20" shaft. I would like to sell / demo before the repower.

    Re: 40 HP Yamaha

Here's the deal.  New power will be here in a couple of days and I don't want to put his back in storage and risk having to do the carbs again.

I will take $1500.00 (firm) for the first one that shows up with the cash.
