I would consider it if I lived down there, or had the ability to travel right now. Damn pregnancy is really chapping my A$$ ;D :D

Swamp Skiff is making a withdrawal from his IRA tomorrow to fund the purchase of the boat. If he doesn't make it, I'll take some more picks and send them. Thanks!

Well after taking a HUGE chunk of my retirement fund out of my account I headed across the state.  ;D  Mel is as nice as advertised and he has a setup and crew that is just as nice.  I got the nickle tour.  I had arrived expecting to do some grunt work to make this happen, but Mel had a plan.  Moving boats on and off trailers with a pair for gantrys is just cheating.  :)  I might just have to rig some for myself.  Thanks again Mel.  I'll start a thread when I start on the boat.  It might be a while.  I'll just have to see how long I can stand it!  :'(

Pretty sure it's already under construction (or deconstruction), but welcome to MicroSkiff.com!

Not yet, as much as I want to rush into this, I want to consider all of my options first. I have to take it down to the bare hull. As far as I can tell there isn't single thing that isn't in need of repair (read replace) or needs to be cut up in order to get to something that needs to be replaced. I might as well gut it and then replace the stringers, transom, and floor. Then I will run it for a while and see how I like it and what it wants to be. I'm not sure it is meant to be an ultra skinny skiff since it has a shallow V all the way back, but a nice shallow water skiff is what I'm hoping for. Already got some ideas... ;)
