Still getting use to fishing from a microskiff. Yesterday was my 5th trip out in the new boat, and really the first fishing trip. What I learned was....If you drink 50% of your beer before putting it down in the boat (not in a cup holder) it is 50% less likely to turn over and spill. So yes, even beers can get a little tippy. Be sure to drink 1/2 of your cold beer before haphazardly putting it down unsupervised, cause I really hate to hear about the abuse of alcohol.

Microskiff lesson of the day! ;)

Thanks for all the PURITAN responses and the ASSumptions that went along with them. You guys truly are the best.

And to you @ DRANRAB thank you for setting the tone and PISSING ALL IN THE CHEERIOS, sir.

I guess since many people on the internet seem to have lost their sense of humor, I will QUALIFY future post as such, " Intended for only those with a sense of humor".

Have a great day guys.

I was at the ramp last Saturday an a guy gets off a boat with 3 people on it with a santa sized mesh bag literally full of empty beer cans and dumps them in the public trash can. and I wonder why there are so many idiots operating on the river.

Trust my man, it ain't just alcohol that turns people into idiots. Money does a damn good job of it too! Way more disposable income than common sense these days.

My buddy and I have a long standing tradition. That is, that when the stated goal of the fishing trip is attained, like the first fish of the targeted species, or when we do something truly memorable (like doubling up on bonefish, or a grand slam), we stop fishing and have our celebratory drink. I am a beer drinker, and he is not. So for every day of the trip, there is one craft beer and one Mountain Dew on ice in the cooler. Sad are the days that the cans remain closed, but I can still remember some of those memorable moments when it was time for our celabratory drink. Thanks to you BudT, I now know how to be certain that I get the most out of every celebration.

Don't let him bother you...he must be Baptist .

So when you go fishing with him make sure he brings a friend. If he comes alone he'll drink all your beer. If he brings a friend, they won't touch it.

Damn, thanks for showing up guys, I was beginning to wonder.

****CAUTION BELOW IS ONLY FOR THOSE WITH A SENSE OF HUMOR****

Hell after those post yesterday I went and took a long shower and cried like a baby b/c I felt so dirty, then I went to confession and mass. When that didn’t help, I tried to find me a meeting, but I couldn’t get my truck to start b/c of that little damn tube I have to blow in. So finally I said to hell w/ it, went to the cave, cranked up some Zeppelin on the monitors and drank BEERS, that’s right boys BEERS….

Just might be at a Cody Jinks concert at Red Rocks in a couple of weeks, but that will be a different post for the “ASSumers” and PURITANS to pounce on.

Nobody said anything about not drinking beers. What we did say was not drinking beers and running a boat. If you think its funny to kid about that ok whatever.

Now I am going to go grab another slice of pizza and cold PBR.:D
