Got these wheels in yesterday and put on my trailer last night after my other half went to bed. Gotta stash the galvanized ones now. This morning I was back at work searching boatoutfitters.com looking for my next quick fix, so my job is suffering. I'm hiding cupholders and mesh suspended storage bags from my wife. I have v-lock bases with no where to put them. My beer consumption is down for fear of not installing something perfectly.

Am I all alone, or is there somewhere to go for help? Is there a microskiff support group of addicts with the same affliction? None of this has made me fish better.

Here's how I look at these kinds of things.
1. You can't simply fish everyday. Work, weather, other commitments. But you do have at least a little time everyday where you can think fishing. Plan fishing. Work on your boat and gear. Its all part of the whole package so customizing boats is just a piece of that.

but most important.

2. When you lose enthusiasm for that stuff then you are done. Might as well give up fishing. Look none of us are getting out of here alive. So do what you love with as much passion and energy as you can!

Sage advice right there Steve^^!!!

I just turned 38, but I have several much older friends, mentors, heroes, my Dad included. The one common trait between all of them, is they still have as much passion and drive about something in their mid to later 70s as I do now. They all tell me that (like me) they have felt the same way since their teens or 20s. So it never goes away, things might get in the way but the passion never goes away, and like Steve said you don't want it to!

One of my buddies is 76, and will be fishing in a Bass tournament tomorrow, in his 4-5 yr old tricked out 19' Ranger 250 ProXS, told me the other day he's ordering a new boat, said he's going with something a little bigger and a little faster HAHA. So no, it never goes away, there's no cure, and if there was you wouldn't want it!

You don’t have a problem yet. When you start polishing trailer hardware, sewing the carpet guide on carpet seams. Making a custom license plate backer or capping off those guide on brackets. Sanding and polishing back side of hatches. Then maybe you are obsessed and have a problem. Even then it’s not skiff related. Just a bad case of OCD.

Forgot to ask you, do you have a link you can provide for those wheels? Did they come with the tires already mounted?

I'm sitting in my wife's new chairs $700 a pice. Plus that big new sofa not saying what that cost. I just received and 8 wt. and reel so when my RMD comes in next month I'm getting a new AR. Keep it in the live well for those Somali pirates

no offense @SomaliPirate
