10/12/2018 - Headed out to do a little sight casting for striped bass on Lake Moultrie. Picked up Tommy from school at 4:00pm and we got underway at 4:20pm. We fish for striped bass the same way we “run and gun” for mahi mahi. We started out looking for birds. The fish school up bait and the birds work the surface eating the bait the fish push up. Once we found the birds we started out throwing the original Kastmaster spoon https://amzn.to/2CdfZFG. These spoons can cast a very long distance and cover the entire water column. It did not take long and we started hooking up. We ended up releasing three nice size striped bass, all within a two hour period.
