These skiffs seem very similar in size and capabilities. Which one is better in y’alls opinions. I have no clue if I’m posting this in the right place. I just want to hear people’s thoughts on both of these skiffs. I’m looking at getting either a shadowcast 16 or a skimmer skiff 16.

IMO they are totally different classes of boats built for different purposes (the SC16 is 55" beam, and the Skimmer is 69" beam). The Shadowcast is meant for poling as skinny as possible in protected water, but does well in a chop for its size.

The Skimmer Skiff 16 has integrated spray rails, wider beam and will accept a larger hp motor. The Skimmer Skiff will be more stable and ride better in chop. Both are good companies to deal with.
