Has anyone tried mounting a GPS using a seasucker mount? I am considering getting a GPS for my boat (wide open tiller, no grab bar) for navigation purposes. I am thinking about mounting it to the vertical lip on my gunnel, but don’t really want to drill holes. Thinking the seasucker might be a good option and also allow it to be removable—as I don’t need to take the GPS every trip.

They work well for a short period of time. The suction cup just doesn’t last very long. I would say a year or so then it begins to break down.
