Found a Scott S4S 11wt....anyone have any experience with this rod? I have an 8wt and it's a great rod....

I just picked one up also, a 2 piece. I really like it so far, but have only practiced in the grass with it. Throws the SA Mastery Tarpon line very well, and I have a Cortland Tarpon line I haven't thrown yet since it's clear.

Is yours the 2 piece or 4 piece? Hopefully someone with some real tarpon wranglin' experience will chime in. I'd love to get some knowledge since mine is pretty new to me as well.

No personal experience, I have the Meridian in 8W, but I remember someone on here stating that S4S 11W was the best Tarpon Rod they've ever thrown.

When Scott was developing the meridian they sold all stock of s4s for $200! I already had an 6&8 I picked up a 4&10 at that price. I just got a two piece 11 from a buddy, I haven’t had a chance to throw it yet though

Yeah good stick. You wouldn't be disappointed, especially if you picked it up on a deal.

The 2 piece in the S4s is very different to the 4 piece. If you're an expert caster the 2 piece is amazing. The 4 piece is still good but will not pick as much line off the water as the 2 or as a Meridian.
