Show me your sm1444s please. Just picked one up. I’m going to install a fish finder, and I need some ideas from how folks have theirs rigged. It is a tiller skiff, with a center grab bar/console. That is not prerigged for a unit, unfortunately.

On a boat that small do you really need a fish finder? I don't even think you need a chart plotter unless you are fishing new territory and need a map.

This boat will fish for stripers in deep, fresh-water reservoirs when i'm not in the salt. Beyond that, you're correct, not really needed beyond chart plotting. It's 100% necessary for stripers, though when they're not on top in the spring/fall.
