Does anyone know of the best way to remove rust spots on gel coat? I know there are a few products out there but not sure which one is best.

"Ospho" is what your looking for 👍a 32 oz bottle goes a long way ......just rub it on with a rag leave it wet ....for more stubborn stains wet the rag and leave it on top of stain 👍 its what we used on shrimp boats to remove rust runs from the rigging ...made her look new again for awhile 🙂

I use a toilet bowl cleaner called The Works. You can get it at Walmart for a couple of bucks.

Yup- the same acid in a lot of hull and deck cleaners. Always worked for me.

All of the products listed above will wipe out a galvanized trailer. Keep it off the trailer.

When I'm using a rust remover (in my case it's ordinary Sno-Bol from my nearby grocery store...I make a point of covering my galvanized trailer with a sheet of plastic between hull and trailer to preserve the galvanizing...

I use baking soda made into a paste, let it sit on the stain for an hour or so or until the paste dries out, stain usually just wipes off, have used a soft bristle brush a few times on some, i try to get them early so that may be why it works for me
