Do you have a ballpark idea what basic controls run? Is warranty still good if I install it or does the dealer need to do it?

I can call the shop I bought the motor from today and get some answers to those questions. I was storing it in my shop until I was ready for him to install
I forgot to mention I do have a brand new tach w/ warning light I will include

Talked to my Suzuki guy yesterday.

Binnacle control w/ ignition switch $520
Wiring harness. $215

Control cables $50 ea.

I asked if a dealer had to install for the warranty to be valid and he said no but of course he didn’t recommend it. Something about making sure the shift cables are adjusted right or it could damage the gear case. I’m sure others on here have done this and could offer advice. I was planning on doing everything I could and then take it to him for the startup. Hope this helps

Hey Ed, I do still have the motor. my problem is that I was gonna lose so much money on it that I may end up using it on my project even though I think it’s too much weight
I am getting close to painting the boat I am building so I will need to decide soon and will keep you in mind if that’s OK
