Looking to get opinions\review\feedback on a reasonable priced (~$200) tactical\red dot optic for a SW MP 15 for some recreational shooting. Currently only have the stock iron sights. Mostly shooting .223 around 20 to 30 yards.

I have a vortex strikefire. I hit targets up to 100 yards. $130ish

I was checking out the Vortex Optics SPARC II but I did not see the strikefire. I will defiantly check that one out.

The sparc is the better one. I think it is under 200. Vortex is a good value for the money. You don't need to spend a ton for a quality red dot. As long as it doesn't move when shooting.

I picked up the old model Vortex Spitfire (a step up from the Sparc) for $200 shipped a few months ago. Shop around, and I'm sure you can find it. I'm very happy with mine. There's a great video on youtube of a guy beating his up while on his rifle and it still holding its zero.
