Pelican is highly recommended. I bought one after my rifle and case (aluminum) were damaged by the kind folks at the Salt Lake City airport. I had to file a claim with the airport customer service dept. The guy that handled my issue was a gun enthusiast. He understood my pain and gave me his input on which case to buy based on the failures he had seen at the airport over the years.
Cut the foam to fit your specific gun(s). I used an electric fillet knife. Worked great.
You can buy additional foam inserts and cut them to fit other long guns instead of buying more hard cases.
