so a hunting buddy calls me all in a panic around 10:30 one night, tells me he just saw an otter get hit. He knew I was looking for hides to use on a leather back quiver. So he stopped to check him out, sez no pelt damage, you want him? Being the redneck that I am I drove an hour south of me to pick him up. took about an hour to skin him with out breaking into the guts. Skin is in the freezer now, but will be coming out soon to flesh and tan, hair on. I'll try to post about the process and then also how the fur is incorporated into a back quiver.
