That is/was a Kee mower - cast aluminum deck; great stuff. As far as I know company is gone. The 5hp version was a wimp. I had 8 hp version; you could cut down small sapling trees with it...

That Keys mower is no match for a original Snappin Turtle. Snappin Turtles can cut down palmettos.

I think that's the mower Chuck Norris uses! :D

When I was a kid...A LONG time ago... My
neighbor had an OLD Snapper mower that
had a snapping turtle head on the front of
the deck like a hood ornament. Kinda reminded
you of a bulldog on the hood of a Mack Truck.

Until a few years ago, I had a walk behind Snapper that looked just like that one without the seat and wheels. It had a front skid and would cut through anything with that long stroke 6hp Wisconsin. My neighbor was a small engine / lawnmower mechanic so it purred like a kitten. It's in the hands of his oldest son now.

I have a newer model of the Kee. Still a cast aluminum deck but not as rounded. I remember I had to sign a waiver and purchase it through my business since it was considered a "commercial" mower.
