Looking to buy this panga 18 and adding a poling platform and jackplate. I need to cross about 6-8 miles of open water chop up to 2 maybe 3’ to get to the flats. If was was always in the flats I’d buy a different boat. What do you think about a panga for this? I know it’s not perfect but does it get skinny (<8”)? Does it poke okay? I’ll strip the trolling motor and batteries.
