Does it hurt a palm tree to cut off its nuts?

Thanks for the education on the coconut crab, but back to topic.

Does it hurt the tree to cut the whole bunch off?

I've got squirrels busting nuts all over my driveway.

Not at all. Cut the stalk short or you will have a long dead branch sticking up.

Yeah, no problem dealing with the palm nuts.
But beer nuts and deer nuts cost a little more.
Beer nuts are a dollar and change, deer nuts are just under a buck.

They say even a blind squirrel can find a nut, but a no-eyed deer can't cross a highway to save its life.
