Paint rod holders?

Grabbed some Lees rod holders for my poling platform on closeout. They clash with my boat though, because they are gold. I know it's nit-picky but I just don't like em gold.

I would ideally like them to be black. Silver would be runner up.
Can I just spray them black after a little 120 grit sanding?
Is there a rattle can paint that will do the job?

    Thanks for the advise!

There are rattle can paints that will work on aluminum.

If I remember correctly you have a sharp skiff - why not powder coat?

I wondered about that. Is powder coating something you can do yourself or a service you pay for?

I have a buddy who bought a diy kit and used the kitchen oven. His project came out fantastic and still looks great after 6-7 years or so.
