  1. We had some free Disney tickets and we decided to head to Animal Kingdom for the day since I hadn't been since it first opened and Garry had  never been...  It was a Blast!!!  I would definatly recommend taking the family or just going to go!  I love it!  I really wish we had a much better camera.... but here are the best shots I got of the day...

    Crocs!!

    Great pics, thanks for sharing!

So, the okapi, is that the bastard offspring of a donkey and a zebra? Can a donkey even reproduce? lol

Good to see you found the bass, good looking out.

The carving at the end is awesome, is that all wood or wood and stone?

now, we don't have to make a trip over there.

we got everything to see here as long it's free ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

  6. phishphood- it was hard getting him to leave it behind but I told him he had to leave it in the truck or he wouldn't get to see Mickey.. ;D

    B. Lee- An okapi is actually related to the giraffe.  It has an 18 inch tounge and has the exact same skull... you can't really see it in the picture...
And yes, a donkey can reproduce.. A mule cannot.
And that bass carving... I'm not quite sure what it is made of... wood I'm pretty sure... but idk if it is solid..

I took a lot more pictures too.. but I only put up the ones that came out the best... lol.

Wow...you guys were so busy taking pictures, did you have time to ride any rides? ;D I'm kidding of course. The pics are great and thanks for sharing your day with us.

Roughly 12 years ago, I worked for an architectural firm in Orlando. We won the Disney Animal Kingdom contract and I, being a computer guy, was assigned to work with the Walt Disney Imagineering architects. It was pretty cool to see the park, the rides and tree of life especially, go from artist renderings to plans and then to the real thing. I got to visit the park before it opened too.
