Has anyone recently done a refurb?, inside the hatches, bottom repairs gelcoat/polish,topside awlgrip and polish and possibly a rewire , to make the boat look new again? what was the cost , were you happy with the work? who did the work?would you do it again?, wouldn't mind hearing some peoples experiences

Any boat or budget, wanted to hear what people have done with their skiffs and their experiences with their own refurbs

Islamarine refreshed our 1996 Dolphin Backcountry 18. Hull and bow nonskid remained original. Hull buffed out. New console door, under gunwale carpeting, floor paint, boot stripe, and repowered with a 2 stroke Pro XS 175. That hull just loves the horsepower!

That dolphin 18 with 175 gotta run 65+ as my old shipoke ran 65 with a lightly modded 150

I did everything but paint my Hobie skiff, Wiring, Lighting, Electronics, hatches, fiberglass work, custom poling platform , to date ive spent about 2500$ Granted everything was purchased from a Marine whole sale house here in Ft lauderdale. Westmarine cost probably closer to 3.5k
